Cruise to the Mexican Riviera

My parents joined us on a seven day cruise from LA to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. We had a wonderful time and Sophia caught on quickly to the good food. When we looked at our photos, a large percentage of them were taken of Sophia enjoying the fine cuisine.

Josh was part of the winning trivia team on the ship and Sophia was quite popular on the ship. Since the majority of the 2600 passengers on board were grandparents, Sophia caught the eyes of many of them. She loved the musicians and loved dancing to their live music. We had a nice balcony from our room and a sofa bed, where Sophia slept until we heard a thump on the 4th night at sea. Sophia fell out of the bed, so we moved the mattress onto the floor the next night.

Being at sea was very calming and inspiring. I was humbled by the expanse of the gorgeous blue waters. We saw a few whales and a huge school of dolphins that swam gracefully next to the ship. Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan were typical touristy locations, but I loved Cabo San Lucas for its natural beauty. We were very excited to take Sophia to the beach in Cabo, but she fell asleep on the water taxi, but she did wake up briefly to dip her toes in the Pacific.

Here are a few of our favorite photos:
