Home sweet home....

We had a rather uneventful trip home, thankfully, and the nanny and all the suitcases were able to fly with us! While it was hard to leave paradise, it was really nice to come home, despite the horrible, toxic air, (which thankfully has been cleansed by a downpour.) The kids were so happy to be home and Benji was a bit disoriented when he woke up in the morning. Usually, he's standing on the side of the crib facing the door, but the morning he woke up at home, he was facing the closet door rather than the door leading to the hallway.

We also left summer behind in Krabi. It's lovely crisp fall weather in Beijing and Sophia is learning about the seasons at school. While we were walking to the playground this afternoon she told me to look at all the changing leaves on the trees.

She was super excited to be back at school after a two week break and we are amazed at all she's learning. When looking out the window of the plane, she saw a Korean Air plane and said, that's the country where Taehoon, one of her Korean classmates, is from. I guess that why we are paying more than UVa's current college tuition for her education!! We love the bilingual school and the other day we had a bilingual moment, when I was asking Sophia if she would like plain yogurt or yogurt with some fruit in it. She asked me in Chinese, "What is fei ji or plane yogurt?" It was very cute!

Speaking of cute..here are some photos of the kids in their winter pjs and Benji's flashing smile! He loves the camera these days.
